  4. Foods grown organically do not expose consumers to dangerous pesticides and other harmful chemicals; some pesticides do affect children's cognitive development.
  5. Organic foods contain a slightly higher amount of phenolic compounds than conventional foods; phenolic compounds can act as antioxidants and defense response chemicals in humans.
